Your Workplace Challenge
Work gets better when your head and heart stay in balance.
When priorities compete, hard conversations loom, and trust gets tested, even your most capable people struggle to do what they know in their bones matters: deliver a thoughtful no, offer useful feedback, or repair a strained relationship.
Multiply that across a team, and the costs show up fast: flagging motivation, stalled potential, and initiatives that lose steam.
● Too much head without heart can feel transactional.
● Too much heart without head can feel directionless.
The most effective professionals bring both. The challenge is finding your equilibrium.
My (EQ)uilibrium at Work® framework translates insight into action across three interconnected pillars:
STEADY YOURSELF
Build emotional regulation and resilience skills in the face of competing demands
ENGAGE EFFECTIVELY
Strengthen trust, communication, and the quality of professional relationships
ACHIEVE WHAT MATTERS
Focus energy, execute priorities, and sustain performance without burnout
Together, these three practices help you get your SEA legs in the topsy-turvy world of work.
Ways to Work Together

Meet Sarah
Psychology, translated for the real world.
Curiosity and clarity are my calling cards. I’m a licensed psychologist who has spent more than 20 years studying how people think, relate, and change.
The daughter of a naval submariner, I learned early on that you can’t control the waves, but you can learn to meet them with skill. That lesson still shapes how I approach my work today.
My career has spanned Big Four management consulting, college teaching, and clinical practice, giving me an unusual vantage point on workplace behavior. Today, I translate social science into proven strategies that help professionals close the gap between knowing and doing.
Whether I’m speaking to five people or 5,000, my goal is the same: make the hard science behind soft skills click, leaving people feeling both seen and equipped. With 900+ events behind me, I pride myself on bringing the head and heart together in every talk I give.

Common Questions
A few practical details before we talk.
-
Absolutely. I don’t do off-the-shelf learning. I start with your goals, your audience, and the realities of your workplace, then shape the experience from there. That might mean adjusting examples, emphasis, activities, tools, and materials so the content feels relevant rather than generic.
A recent client put it like this:
“From planning through post-session follow-up, Sarah exceeded expectations every step of the way. She doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all approach, but instead tailors solutions to fit your needs.”
-
Yes. Most of my keynotes, workshops, and consulting engagements work well virtually.
I intentionally design for the format rather than simply moving an in-person session online. My virtual programs offer a blend of interaction, reflection, and application exercises to keep people engaged from wherever they’re joining. No Zoom fatigue on my watch!
-
I start by listening carefully. (A carryover from my clinical training that’s just as useful in a conference room.) We’ll talk through what’s happening in your organization, what your people need, and what mental and behavioral shifts you hope to see afterward.
From there, I’ll shape an approach that fits and provide you with a tailored proposal. I’m a big believer in follow-up to reinforce skills, so I’ll build in learning and assessment that extend beyond a single session whenever it makes sense.

My fees vary based on the type of engagement, format, length, audience size, level of customization, and travel.
Corporate keynote fees are typically in the low five figures, with preferred pricing available for nonprofit organizations. Workshops and training sessions generally begin in the mid-four figures, with longer and in-person formats priced accordingly.
After a discovery conversation, I’ll recommend an approach that fits your goals and provide a clear fee upfront.
